During each year of the program, the AR-DATA RET program will recruit and select ten 9th-12th grade mathematics, computer science, and Project Lead the Way (i.e., pre-engineering) teachers (30 total in three years) in Northwest Arkansas school districts, including Benton, Madison, and Washington Counties.
These include schools in the rural areas and those with significant minority student populations. Teams of teachers from the same school are particularly encouraged to apply, ensuring continuous interaction and discussion among RET cohorts. In addition, in years 2 and 3 of the program, we will accept up to 3 returning RET participants to join the new cohorts. Serving as peer mentors, these returning participants will work with new participants and share their tips and suggestions for a successful experience during the program. They are also expected to expand their developed learning modules, or develop new ones.
Application deadline is March 14 for summer 2022 participants.
